There is gold and silver writing on a maroon back ground and maroon embroidered edge. The words: "Senior Scouts" "1946-1996" "Venturers" "Look Wide" and "Be Daring" around the edge and a large "S" and "V' in the middle.

The badge is about 7 cm x 3cm.
